Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center

Part of the center’s holistic approach to patient care, the Barbara Truland-Butz Healing Garden at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center provides a space for patients and their families to meditate and reflect amid greenery and flowers.

Oasis Design Group (now part of Kimley-Horn) designed the garden to represent the circles of life with a planned central water feature. The garden, which opened in 2010, includes a variety of accessible seating in various locations for both socialization and privacy.
