Solid Teak

Country Casual Teak furniture is crafted from solid Grade A teak (Tectona grandis), a durable hardwood that performs beautifully outdoors in any climate. Its high oil and rubber content forms natural barriers against the elements, giving teak weatherproof qualities without sealers, finishes or oils.

Its dense straight grain keeps timbers stable without warping, twisting, or splintering making it the material of choice in the marine industry for ships and luxury vessels. Our strict standards in selection and kiln drying and our expertise in mortise and tenon joinery ensure Country Casual Teak furnishings will last a lifetime. See our Ecological Statement for more details.

Natural teak varies widely in color from blond to rich patterns of amber and brown. Outdoors and untreated, teak will weather over time to silvery gray. Teak requires no preservatives. Country Casual Teak offers a variety of care and treatment products for other aesthetic options. See our Teak Care Guide for more details.

Powder-Coated Aluminum

Reinforced tubular aluminum is precision-welded and powder-coated with exterior polyester paint for a long-lasting finish that resists rusting, cracking and peeling. Nylon or plastic feet and bumpers protect furniture from damage and are replaceable.

Outdoor Cushions

Cushions feature a polyester-wrapped foam core; the foam maintains firmness and provides bounce-back, while the polyester wrap provides extra loft and comfort. Our exclusive quick drying reticulated foam core and mesh bottom encourage water drainage for significantly faster dry times. All cushions are covered in outdoor solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, which resist damage from sunlight, mildew and chlorine. Request a fabric swatch.

How does teak hold up outdoors? Is teak good for poolside use?

Teak is a durable, trusted hardwood. It performs beautifully in any climate, and its high oil and rubber content make it virtually immune to rot. Teak furnishings last for decades through bright sun, rain, snow and a wide range of seasonal temperatures without the need for paint or preservatives. See the Benefits of Teak Wood.

Will the teak turn gray? Can I keep the original golden color?

Teak is a naturally durable hardwood. When left untreated outdoors, it gradually develops a silvery-gray patina over time. Teak does not require preservatives for durability. Country Casual Teak offers a selection of care and treatment products for those who want to maintain, enhance or change the color of teak. See our Teak Care Guide for more details.

Is teak better than resin or other outdoor materials?

Grade A teak offers unmatched warmth, natural beauty and longevity. This hardwood does not crack in freezing weather and does not fade or become brittle, overheat or rust. Our carefully chosen, high-quality teak is a timeless material.

Will pool water or chlorine damage teak?

Chlorine and pool water will not damage teak. Periodically rinse pool water off the teak or clean with water and mild soap.

Will the cushions dry quickly?

Our cushions are designed with a polyester-wrapped foam core that combines durable support with enhanced comfort. The foam retains its shape and responsiveness, while the polyester wrap adds softness and loft. For improved outdoor performance, our exclusive quick-drying reticulated foam core and fabric mesh bottom promote efficient water drainage, helping cushions dry significantly faster after exposure to moisture.

Will the cushions fade?

All cushions are covered in outdoor solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, which resist damage from sunlight, mildew and chlorine. Request a fabric swatch.
