ECOLOGICALLY SOURCED TIMBER

Country Casual Teak implements strict requirements to ensure the quality and trusted provenance of our teak. We require that only ecologically grown and harvested timbers from managed, sustainable plantations be used in the manufacture of our furnishings. For every tree felled, more than one is planted to maintain critical environmental balance. Our product directors visit the plantations in Indonesia on a regular basis, ensuring that all harvesting and manufacturing processes meet every environmental protection practice required by their respective governing bodies.

ZERO WASTE POLICY

No part of our teak is wasted. At the manufacturing facilities, wood scraps and shavings are recycled and used to create electricity or fuel kilns. At our corporate headquarters and fulfillment center in Gaithersburg, MD, we strive to be environmentally sensitive. Our goal is to generate as little waste as possible in our daily operations. We use only recyclable pallets in the shipping of our sustainable outdoor furniture. Office paper and cardboard packing are recycled at a county facility where they are used to generate electricity.
