Search-Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst

Full Time


We are looking for an SEO/SEM expert to manage all search engine optimization and marketing activities. The SEO Analyst is responsible for implementing effective SEO strategies to improve our site ranking and ensure we attract and engage our target audience and convert visitors into customers. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google and Bing in order to maximize ROI. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with current SEO/SEM industry trends, techniques and tools and have excellent analytical skills.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Execute on-page and off-page SEO with attention to mobile-first indexing
  • Implement link building strategies and manage backlinks to build online authority
  • Provide recommendations to drive SEO in content creation; write original, powerful SEO content for the site
  • Work with our outside web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on current site and any newly developed code
  • Understand white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.


  • Manage all SEM campaigns (Brand & Non-Brand, PLAs) on Google, Bing and other search engines
  • Work with Director to establish budget and then manage campaigns to this number
  • Write ad copy
  • Optimize product feed for Google Shopping Results
  • Build and optimize landing pages for search engine marketing when needed
  • Execute tests on ad copy, bid strategies, geo-targeting, etc. to achieve maximum ROI


  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce Manager on optimizing site search
  • Analyze competitor websites for organic and paid traffic insights
  • Work with Director to set SEO/SEM goals and create dashboards to track performance metrics including traffic, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Keep pace with SEO/SEM tools as well as industry trends and developments


The Ideal Candidate Will Possess: 

  • 1 –3 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with proven record for increasing search ranking
  • Knowledge of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and best practices for on-page and off-page SEO
  • Strong understanding and use of SEO tools (Conductor, Brightedge, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Keyword Explorer, etc.)
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Bing and Yahoo with strong ROI
  • Prior work in content marketing a plus
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
