Summary: 

The Paid Search/SEO Specialist is responsible for the planning, creating, optimizing and analyzing search campaigns both organic and paid. Paid campaigns include text ads, shopping ads, display advertising, remarketing and shopping feed campaigns. The specialist will be accountable for day-to-day optimization and reporting on campaign performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong paid search and SEO background. To be successful in this role, you should be knowledgeable about current SEO/SEM industry trends, techniques and tools and have excellent analytical skills. This role is a full-time position that is required to be on-site most of the time.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

PAID SEARCH

  • Manage all SEM campaigns (Brand & Non-Brand, PLAs) on Google, Bing and other search engines
  • Work with Director to establish budget and adjust bids to gain better ROI and reach goals
  • Conduct keyword research and selection for pay-per-click campaigns
  • Write attractive and concise copy
  • Optimize product feed for Google Shopping Results
  • Build and optimize landing pages for search engine marketing when needed
  • Execute tests on ad copy, bid strategies, audience targeting, geo-targeting, etc. to achieve maximum ROI

SEO

  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Execute on-page and off-page SEO with attention to mobile-first indexing
  • Implement link building strategies and manage backlinks to build online authority
  • Provide recommendations to drive SEO in content creation; write original, powerful SEO content for the site
  • Work with our outside web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on current site and any newly developed code
  • Understand white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.

OVERALL

  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels
  • Analyze competitor websites for organic and paid traffic insights
  • Work with Director to set PPC/SEO goals and create dashboards to track performance metrics including traffic, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Keep pace with PPC/SEO tools as well as industry trends and developments
  • Learn about the Country Casual Teak customers (B2B and B2C) and their buying journey
  • Contribute to the overall marketing roadmap and campaigns

 

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

 

  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Bing and Yahoo with strong ROI
  • Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction
  • Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
  • 1 –3 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with proven record for increasing search ranking
  • Knowledge of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and best practices for on-page and off-page SEO
  • Strong understanding and use of SEO tools (Conductor, Brightedge, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Keyword Explorer, etc.)
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Understanding of basic HTML, CSS and code structure as it relates to SEO
  •  Magento or similar eCommerce platform experience is a plus
  • Interest in new technologies in the digital marketing and ecommerce space
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
