Human Resources Manager

Description
The Human Resources Manager develops, plans, implements and coordinates all human resources policies, programs and practices to support the company’s business objectives. The HR Manager is a full time, exempt position on-site in the company’s Gaithersburg, MD headquarters office. Multi-Lingual ability, especially in Spanish, is highly desirable.
- Conduct recruitment efforts for all management, exempt, and non-exempt staff.
- Develop recruitment strategies with hiring managers, review resumes, coordinate interviews, and assist with the final decision process.
- Supports new hire on-boarding and orientation with the Accounting Specialist.
- Manage employee benefit programs, providing information to all employees.
- Counsels employees on employee relations issues, and complaints.
- Advises managers on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, hiring and employment terminations, etc.
- Develops, updates, recommends, and implements employment policies and procedures.
- Advises managers and employees regarding interpretation and implementation of employment policies and procedures.
- Monitors performance evaluation program scheduling and conduct; recommends revisions as necessary.
- Implements and annually updates compensation program.
- Analyzes compensation in relation to regional job market.
- Revises job descriptions as necessary, in consultation with managers and supervisors.
- Develops and monitors merit pool salary budget anticipated as result of annual compensation increases.
- Provide back up to payroll for benefits administration, and for GUSTO and Employee Navigator systems.
- Coordinates and conducts training for managers and supervisors to encourage continuous improvement in management skills.
- Identify and maintain record keeping and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with all government regulations affecting Human Resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or psychology. PHR or SPHR preferred.
- At least 5 - 8 years of broad based human resources administration experience in a corporate environment.
- Capabilities managing compensation plans; experience with commissioned sales also is desirable.
- Multi-Lingual ability, especially in Spanish, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GUSTO and Employee Navigator, or with similar payroll and benefits administration systems,
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with federal, and state and local laws and regulations related to all aspects of employment and other workplace requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Very hands-on work style.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
